I grew up in the Episcopal Church. My family and I went to Christ Church on Capitol Square in Raleigh. I was also active in the EYC program at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, where one of my best friends attended.
In 2010, I moved to Wilmington to study at UNCW. I was a member of the Episcopal Campus Ministry (now renamed Episcopal Campus Christian Organization), which met at Church of the Servant on Sunday nights.
After college I found a job in Wilmington and decided to stay. One summer a friend and I decided we wanted to go to a Sunday service at each Episcopal church in Wilmington. We never completed that goal, but that was the first time I attended St. Paul’s. Everyone we met was so welcoming and friendly!
My friend moved away, but I kept attending St. Paul’s on and off; eventually I became an official member. I love the familiar Episcopal services and the beautiful music from the organist and choir!
I’m currently a news producer at a local television station. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, getting outside, watching Formula 1 and reading a good book. I’m trying to become a better cook, and look forward to planning my next trip.
