I am a retired Episcopal priest from the Diocese of Western New York. I have lived & served in Buffalo, the city of good neighbors. I chose to retire to Wilmington because my family lives here and also nearby in MD,
Taize services initially drew me to St. Paul’s. Then sermons that touched my heart beckoned me to stay. I joined the book group and I delight in our wonderful conversations.
My passion is street ministry. Therefore, I serve the Blessing Box ministry. Your generous donations are sincerely appreciated because the need is great.
My passion is street ministry. For example, when I served St. Paul’s Cathedral in downtown Buffalo, I initiated the Ecclesia ministry serving God’s Street Angels. On Sundays, in the park across the street from the Cathedral, our team served hot meals plus provided takeaway food containers. Musicians played joyful music, volunteer beauticians provided haircuts, plus we provided donated hats, gloves & socks. The Street Angels’ requests for prayer and anointing abounded.
We were blessed with this sacred community formed by God’s love and grace.
My passion continues to be street ministry. Amen. Judy Breny
