We moved to Wilmington in 2020, just in time for the global pandemic! We had been visiting Dee’s sister and family here for the last 20 years and had grown to love the area, realizing that we were saltwater souls!
Together we own a leadership development firm, Iridium Leadership. When COVID hit, the majority of our in-person work was canceled. While challenging, it gave us a chance to learn more about the area and potential Episcopal churches.
Emerging from the pandemic, we came to St Paul’s one Sunday and fell in love with the community, the leadership, and the music. We are both music lovers. (Dee leans more toward jazz and Phillip is into organ and choral music.) We are so grateful to grow in our faith in Christ through Fr. Caleb’s and the clergy team’s leadership and to relish the amazing music. Our involvement so far includes ushering, the choir (Phillip), Lectors, and Sacred Ground. It’s a privilege to serve.
We have a house on the same street as Dee’s sister and have loved the opportunity to reconnect and be close to family. Unfortunately, as some of you may know, this sister was diagnosed with MDS, a rare form of blood cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. It is truly a blessing from God that we can be here during this time.
Our St. Paul’s community has been very supportive and loving during this process, confirming once again, that we have chosen the right home.
