Hi. I am Cheryl Wagoner. I was introduced to St. Paul’s in 2002 when I was dating Mark Wagoner. He asked one day if I might be willing to meet his family. By this, he was asking me to come to church with him. I felt at home immediately at SPE despite having never before been to an Episcopal church.
I soon became involved with all sorts of ministry. My first ministry at SPE was the altar guild. I thought it would be a great way to learn more about the church. Twenty years later, the altar guild remains a beloved ministry. I have and continue to serve in many roles and am often behind the scenes doing my best to support the services and people at SPE. I was baptized and confirmed as an adult at St. Paul’s. Mark and I were married here in 2004. I am now a postulant in formation towards the Diaconate. Needless to say, St. Paul’s has become my family too.
Though church and related activities are a large part of my life, they are not the only part. I am the mom to two sweet, sometimes naughty, furbabies, Gracie and Gypsy. G&G are energetic doodles who keep me entertained with their antics. I run my own consulting firm whereby I provide quality assurance and regulatory services to medical device companies worldwide. This business was begun so that I could work from home to care for my now late husband.
It is not unusual to see me around town running or working out in a park. I also love participating in muddy obstacle course events. Tough Mudder anyone? Attending live music and music festivals are also favorite activities. Hula hoop dancing is something I do almost daily for fun.
