After our move to Leland from Lockwood Folly (Holden Beach area) in 2005, we visited and worshiped in different churches in Leland searching for our forever “church home.” During a bridge game, a parishioner from St. Paul’s suggested we try her church, which was St. Paul’s.
Our first visit was the Sunday after Easter 2012. During the Peace, interim rector, Randy Green came down to our pew to meet us. After the service, we attended the reception and everyone was so welcoming as if we had been attending for a while. On Monday morning right after 9 a.m., our phone rang and it was Randy telling us how wonderful it was to meet us and that he had our name tags ready for us to pick up the next Sunday. How could we not go back to St. Paul’s after such a warm welcome! We became members of St. Paul’s on June 24, 2012.
We immediately became involved in different ministries and continue to volunteer wherever needed. We are so blessed to have made so many forever friends. St. Paul’s continues to be most welcoming to all.
