I was born in Richmond, Vir., and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, so I identify as a Buckeye but not, by extension, an Ohio State fan. (Most of my extended family are LSU or University of Michigan grads, so enough said!) I have a BA and MA in art history and worked at the Cleveland Museum of Art for 5 years before heading to Northwestern University for an MBA. After graduation, I worked in the financial services industry, first in banking and then in investor relations. I changed careers a third time after becoming a mom, channeling my energies into special education advocacy.
I have been married to my husband Roger for 28 years. Our son Bryce is 24. (When he is not working, you may find him on the balcony streaming Sunday services or evening concerts.) We moved to Wilmington in November 2016 after Roger retired and Bryce graduated from high school. I began
attending St. Paul’s shortly thereafter and was received into the Episcopal Church in January of 2020.
I currently serve on the Vestry and the Endowment Board; you may also find me in the basement assisting in the archives or upstairs in the children’s wing teaching Sunday school to our youngest parishioners.
