Shar and Bill have been married for 52 years. We have two children, Jennifer and Nathaniel, and one grandson, Aiden, who just graduated from high school and will be attending the University of Wisconsin- Madison in the fall.
Bill, a West Point graduate and Vietnam vet, retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years in 1990. He then had a second 20-year career as a computer programmer, mostly at Lexmark International, Inc., in Lexington, Kentucky. Go Cats! He’s a caricature wood carver and has recently taken up oil painting. Shar, a jack of all trades, fulfilled one of her dreams by tutoring at-risk second graders in reading. She spent the last six years of her working career as a Hospice Nurse, “best job EVER!”. Shar loves gardening, making cards and beading pen barrels.
We love to travel and made a decision to spend the “kid’s inheritance” traveling to places around the world. Ireland/Scotland and Japan are Shar’s favorites and Bill’s are Russia and Italy. We are thinking about the Holy Land next!
