Hello St. Paul’s! We are Scott and Stevie Sheble. We recently moved to the Wilmington area from Richmond, Virginia, for Stevie’s career.
Stevie has worked in pharmaceutical sales for 20+ years with the last 16 years focused in the ophthalmology space, specifically retina. Scott is a veteran hairstylist of 30 years and will soon continue his career here as well.
We met 38 years ago in middle school in Springfield, Virginia. Stevie, an Army Brat, moved away after 8th grade and Scott finished high school in Springfield. Our paths crossed 30 years later after Stevie had moved back to Virginia. We dated for 6+ years and were married in July 2022, on our 7th anniversary. Scott has 20-year-old twin daughters who attend and swim at N.C. State University. They fondly call Stevie their bonus mom. She adores them both as well.
As our relationship blossomed, so did our gravitation towards a higher spiritual calling. Prior to St. Paul’s, we were members of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Richmond. Scott served as a chalice bearer for the last year and a half and recently had the honor to start serving at St. Paul’s as a lay eucharistic minister.
St. Paul’s has undoubtedly been the right fit and choice as our new church home. From the first time we visited to all the subsequent services we have attended, the St. Paul’s congregation has welcomed us with open arms, inclusiveness, and hospitality. We look forward to meeting all the members (eventually) and continuing to worship and serve God with the entire church family here at St. Paul’s.
