Picnic Information

Sep 11, 2020 | Clergy Corner

This Sunday, September 13, we are gathering together for worship and a parish picnic at
Long Leaf Park (Shelter #4) beginning at 10:30 a.m. I am happy to announce that we are fully
booked for this celebration. Eventbrite reservations for the picnic are no longer being
accepted. We had to limit the number of participants due to COVID-19 restrictions. We are
sorry if you could not get a reservation, but we are encouraged by the excitement and
readiness of the St. Paul’s family to reunite. We are looking forward to the time when we can
resume in-person worship safely, and in accordance with diocesan guidelines.
For those of you who have a reservation to the picnic, we expect you to wear a mask and
maintain social distancing, and to use hand sanitizer frequently (the church will provide an
ample supply). Also, please bring a lawn chair from home. The church will not have chairs
available. We are very grateful to the Parish Life Committee who have arranged for a caterer to
provide a picnic lunch and beverages. The meal and beverages will be served by the caterer
using the appropriate restaurant protocols. Other necessary instructions to ensure your health
and safety will be given at the picnic. Of course, we trust that you will stay home if you have a
cold, cough, fever, or think that your health, or the health of another, would be compromised
by your attendance.

In the event of heavy rain, the picnic is canceled and will be re-scheduled for another time.

We need 3 volunteers to meet at the Parish Hall at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday morning to help
carry tables to the picnic. If you can help, please contact Larry Wright (703) 407-0864,
Teresa Singer (252) 268-1547, or me (336-745-5950).
We are looking forward to seeing you.
Keep the faith!
Peace,

Ray
