I ended up at St. Paul’s one winter Sunday in 2014 somewhat by accident. My grandma, who had recently moved to the area, had wanted me to start trying out churches with her, so we mapped out a schedule of dates and different churches to try.
When I got there and didn’t see her, I was certain I had the date or location mixed up and almost left, but I felt called to stay. I ended up running into an old friend, and stayed for the reception. I later sorted out the mix up with my grandma, and due to the wonderful welcoming we had both had on our own (separate) Sundays there, we returned together the following week. We never ended up trying any other churches in town, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
You’ll find me at St. Paul’s most Sundays these days with my daughter, Amelia. I’m involved with the Children & Youth Committee and am entering into my third year on the Vestry. I’m a part of the Human Resources Team and enjoy getting to know new people. Outside of church, I’m a 4th grade teacher at Wrightsville Beach Elementary. I live in Wilmington with my husband, Greg, daughter Amelia, and our dog, Penny.
