Maitland DuBois is a cradle-Episcopalian who grew up in Brookville PA. There I was an
acolyte and active in the Youth Group. After getting a BS in Petroleum Engineer, I
served in the Vietnam War as a Navy Sea Bee. While working as an engineer and
production manager for varies Oil Companies we moved 13 times. I retired in 2016,
and initially joined St John’s Episcopal Church in Wilmington. There I was elected to
the Vestry, and acted as Junior Warden until moving the St Paul’s.

My wife and I have been married for 53 years, and have a son and daughter and four
grandchildren. We moved from Houston TX to Wilmington NC to be close to our son
and grandson. Our son obtained an MBA degree, but elected to pursue a career in
tennis. He has been the UNCW Head Men’s Tennis Coach for 17 years. Our daughter
lives in Denver Colorado an obtained degrees in Criminal Justice and Special Ed. She
successfully home-schooled her three children with two currently in college and one
now taking college prep courses.
