Beloved,
Here we go again.
As we all are probably aware, New Hanover County has issued a mask mandate for all indoor places open to the public effective Friday, August 20 at 5pm.
Therefore, it is necessary for us all to wear masks when we gather for worship and other happenings at St. Paul’s.
This isn’t the best news, but it also isn’t the worst. Masks work. Vaccines work. We can still sing. We can still gather.
Our lesson from Ephesians on Sunday reminds us to “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Put on the whole armor of God… the belt of truth… the breastplate of righteousness… the shield of faith… the helmet of salvation… and the sword of the Spirit…”
I suppose we ought to add one more item to the whole armor of God; the MASK of love for our neighbor.
See you Sunday,
Caleb+
