Egg Casserole

A breakfast favorite from The White Fence Inn, a country bed & breakfast.

Serves: 10

Oven Temp: 325 degrees


  • 7 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups grated cheese
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 TBSP butter, melted

Whisk together eggs, milk and salt. Whisk in softened cream cheese and then stir in grated and cottage cheeses. Add flour, baking power and melted butter. Grease two 10″ pie plates and divide egg mixture evenly between them. (I use one 9″ x 13″ (3Qt) pyrex dish for entire mixture.) Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes until set. The mixture can be assembled the night before and then baked in the morning. Cover mixture and refrigerate overnight. Bake as directed, but for 1 hour.
