- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 ½ cups sugar, divided
- 1 cup milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 4 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
Cut strawberries into a bowl. Toss with ¼ cup sugar.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a 9” x 13” casserole dish as it preheats
Whisk together the flour, 1 ¼ cups sugar, milk and vanilla in a medium bowl. Pour into the melted butter without stirring. Spoon the strawberries onto the butter and dough mixture without stirring.
Bake until the cobbler has turned lightly golden brown and is set throughout (about 45 minutes) Remove from oven and serve. You may want to top it with some vanilla ice cream😊
