We moved to Wilmington in December 2003 to be closer to our two sons and their families. Family means everything to us, and we felt that God had a hand in this move as He has always had with every step of our journey together.
After our marriage in August 1970, our experiences have always been anchored in the Episcopal Church. As a couple, our first church was St. Timothy’s in Winston-Salem where Nancy was confirmed.
Then as we moved to South Carolina, Virginia and back to North Carolina, we were always blessed with a supportive parish family. During our moves, we served in various capacities including Altar Guild, EYC Advisors, SS Teachers, Usher, SS Superintendent, Search Committee and Junior Warden.
While in South Carolina, God blessed us with our two sons, Matthew and Mark. After returning to NC, both sons graduated from North Carolina State University. They blessed us with two lovely and lively daughters-in-law and five fantastic grandchildren.
Through the many changes that have occurred at St. Paul’s over the past nineteen years, we have developed a new passion. We want to foster the further development of the Bellamy Memorial Garden so that it will be a beautiful and enduring place for remembering the saints that have entered God’s heavenly kingdom before us.
