Becoming a Member
All are welcome at St. Paul’s. We invite and welcome visitors, new members of all ages, and families of all kinds. We would love to tell you more about us and help you continue and strengthen your relationship with God. Members are the core of the church, committed to discipleship, lived out in community.
We want to support you all along the way to make your connection with St. Paul’s welcoming and encouraging. Together we can deepen our spiritual bonds, experience the loving presence of the Divine among us and help each other to serve and celebrate.
Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” This verse describes the expectation for every member at St. Paul’s.
We believe each person brings his or her own gifts and interests, and we welcome you to add your own special presence to our church life as we worship and work together to carry out Jesus’ commandments.
Membership Through Baptism
Services of baptism are offered throughout the year. Those who have been baptized in any Christian church may register their baptism in the Episcopal Church by completing the Baptismal Form available through the church office.
Reception into the Episcopal Church
The service of reception is for those who have been both baptized and confirmed in another Christian denomination and who wish to become a member of the Episcopal Church. These persons will be “received” into the Episcopal Church at a service with a bishop.
Confirmation into the Episcopal Church
Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. Confirmation is an “adult” affirmation of baptismal vows. Please contact the church office if you are interested in this sacrament.
Membership Transfer to St. Paul’s
Episcopalians who desire to transfer their membership registration to St. Paul’s parish may do so by completing our Transfer of Membership and Information Form and returning it to the church office.
