Confirmation on April 3 at 3 p.m.
This Sunday, April 3rd at 3:00 PM, is a very special day for St. Paul’s. Twenty of our fellow parishioners will go before the bishop to commit or recommit themselves to Christ. Some of these folks are brand new to the Episcopal Church and St. Paul’s. Others have been with us for a while and COVID has prevented the bishop from being with us for the purpose of Confirmation, Reception and Renewal. We hope you will consider coming to support your fellow parishioners for this special occasion and the festive reception that will follow
Choral Matins on April 3 at 10:30 a.m.
Because of the Confirmation service at 3 p.m., we have decided to mark the whole day as extraordinary by making our 10:30 service Choral Matins instead of Choral Eucharist. Choral Matins is Morning Prayer in the English choral tradition. Morning Prayer was the norm in the church at the main service on Sundays up until the 1980s. The 1979 Book of Common Prayer created an atmosphere where Holy Eucharist would come to be the norm on Sunday mornings moving forward and the rest is history.
It will be a treat to participate in such an important historical worship service in the life of the Episcopal/Anglican tradition.
This Sunday, April 3, will be special all around. Come and celebrate with St. Paul’s.
Faithfully,
Caleb+
