What a year this has been! Think about it for a moment. Over the past twelve months, St. Paul’s has been in a constant state of transition and transformation. Change is never easy, but all of us, whether we’ve been at this church for years, have just started attending, or are returning after some time away, have felt the hopeful anticipation and excited energy that also come with change. It is a gift to be able to see, sense, and know that something extraordinary and new is being born at St. Paul’s.
We are experiencing our very own Christmas moment. St. Paul’s is a living nativity scene. The Christmas Star has beckoned us, and all of us have come here from various places, backgrounds, and perspectives to behold what is to come. We are witnessing the birth of Christ in our hearts and in our lives once again. Some of us are angels and others are shepherds. There are more than a few wise men and women. Marys and Josephs are also in abundance. Which character are you? With whomever you identify, we all have a place at the manger; watching in adoration, praise, and thanksgiving as peace, love, joy, and HOPE grow ever brighter through the presence and promise of the Christ Child.
What are the gifts that we bring to this Christmas moment at St. Paul’s? Our gifts matter. Each of us plays a vital part in the Christmas story. Thank you for your continued faithfulness and generosity to St. Paul’s.
