Our Annual Appeal is Underway

Oct 8, 2021 | Announcements

Dear St. Paul’s Family,
How has God’s abundant generosity transformed your life? It is a seemingly simple question that has the power to generate a spectacular array of glorious responses. At St. Paul’s we are experiencing our own transformation. In the past year, we have:

  • Implemented a strategic plan to fully support our mission and vision for the future
  • Welcomed a dynamic new rector, Fr. Caleb Lee
  • Grown our church family by some 20 new households despite a global pandemic.

Amazingly, pledges received during last year’s campaign increased by 7%, from $401,000 to $428,000, with 65% of you giving an average increase of 23%. And this was while we prayed and confessed in front of streamed services, and loving people opened homes and porches to small groups to receive the bread of life. God’s beloved presence has blessed our sacred home. We are grateful and excited for the future of St. Paul’s.

As we prepare for the 2022 Annual Appeal, we thank you for your donations of time, talent and treasure in 2021, and we invite you to join us in supporting St. Paul’s mission and ministries again in the new year. We began this letter with a question: How has God’s abundant generosity transformed your life?

Now we ask: How, through you, will God’s abundant generosity transform our communities and our world? St. Paul’s is and will continue to be an agent of God’s love and light when we focus on what God is calling us to do as individuals and as a church.

Over the next month during our Sunday morning services, several parishioners will share personal stories about how St. Paul’s has transformed their lives. Fr.  Caleb will share his vision for St. Paul’s in a second letter that will also include a pledge form and additional information about the Annual Appeal. Our In-Gathering Sunday is scheduled for the Feast of All Saints on Nov. 7.

As you listen to your fellow parishioners and absorb Fr. Caleb’s message, be opened to the transformative power of generosity, and step out in faith as you consider your financial pledge to St. Paul’s 2022 Annual Appeal. It is a joyous time: Look about you—new faces, more youth, former members returning! With God’s help, we will strengthen programs for the changing face and size of our family and for our community. Please begin to think about
transforming moments in your spiritual life and about radical generosity that can extend the light you cast.

As Christians we pray: Generous and loving God, we come to you in thanksgiving, knowing all that we are and all that we have is a gift from you. In faith and love, help us to do your will. Amen.

In love and thanksgiving,
Your Stewardship Team
