Settling In

Aug 26, 2021 | Clergy Corner

Beloved,

I am still “settling in” to St. Paul’s.  I continue to listen as I encounter each of you.  In meeting with you I am hearing about all of the ministries and experiences of St. Paul’s as well as who you are as beloved children of God.  Amid the listening, I also want you to know that we are making plans for a very dynamic fall.   You can see the host of events that are already popping up in our announcements below; and there is more to come!

Ministry of all kinds is being planned so that we may provide opportunities for worship, formation, fellowship, and outreach for all ages.

Bishop Thomas Ken, one of the fathers of English hymnody, wrote the following prayer.  Will you pray this prayer for our beloved St. Paul’s?

O God, make the door of this house wide enough to receive all who need human love and fellowship, and a heavenly Father’s care; and narrow enough to shut out all envy, pride and hate. Make its threshold smooth enough to be no stumbling block to children, nor to straying feet, but rugged enough to turn back the tempter’s power: make it a gateway to thine eternal Kingdom. Amen.

See you Sunday,

Caleb+
